The band around singer-songwriter Yopi from Cologne was formed in 2004 and has since then presented their wild blend of conscious reggae, world music, hippie-folk and dub to a constantly growing fan base on numerous concerts all over Germany.
Travelling as accoustic street musicians with accordeon, double bass, guitars and drums in the summer months consenso have played on many places from the baltic sea to the meditteranean and experienced the roots of hippie life.
Mainly written in German, Yopi&consenso-songs are about such topics as the destiny of mankind in the age of multi-media and the desire for a better world. Beautiful love-songs,
french chansons and Bhajans from ancient India: with the all dominating Reggae offbeat make people dance and dream at the same time.
Although the ways of the band members have separated in the last two years- Yopi
released his solo-album ( HYPERLINK "http://www.yopi-music.com" www.yopi-music.com) and played many solo concerts- the others formed their own succesful group „Musik for the kitchen“- they remained friends and still play rare but euphoric festival gigs as Yopi & consenso.
